Sprinkler Systems Citywide S-12 $40.00

A sprinkler system is a fire extinguishing system, other than a water mist system, that utilizes water as the extinguishing agent. Whether a building shall be provided with sprinkler protection or not is generally set forth in the NYC Building Code. The Fire Code however does contain several sprinkler requirements, such as for high piled combustible storage and for buildings constructed on streets of substandard width.

Inspection, testing, servicing and other maintenance of sprinkler systems must be personally supervised (FC901.6.3) and be performed in accordance with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) Pamphlet #25 2002 edition.

Standpipe Systems Citywide S-13 $40.00

A standpipe system is piping installed in a building that serves to transfer water to hose connections located within the building for firefighting purposes. Whether a building shall be provided with sprinkler protection or not is generally set forth in the NYC Building Code. The Fire Code however does contain several sprinkler requirements, such as for high piled combustible storage and for buildings constructed on streets of substandard width.

Inspection, testing, servicing and other maintenance of sprinkler systems must be personally supervised (FC905.1.1) and be performed in accordance with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) 25, 2002 edition and NFPA 1962, 1998 edition for the Care, Use, and Service Testing of Fire Hose including Couplings and Nozzles.
