Consulting services for NYC buildings

Local Law 5 of 1973

Fire Drill Presentations

NYC Local Law 5 of 1973 mandates professional fire drill presentations in all new and existing commercial high-rises. Radiant provides fire drill presentations that focus on the buildings' emergency exits, fire detection and suppression systems designs and human behavior in fire emergencies. The presentations are thorough, enlightening and enjoyable. The participants' questions are answered in simple, easy-to-understand concepts.

FDNY plan preparation

Fire Safety Plan Preparation

Radiant prepares Fire Safety and Evacuation Plans, Comprehensive Fire Safety and Emergency Action Plans, Fire Protection Plans, and Tenant Protection Plans for NYC properties.

Local Law 26 of 2004

Emergency Action Plan Drills

The EAP drills mandated by NYC Local Law 26 of 2004: Office Building Emergency Action Plans are Instructional Drills and Stairwell Familiarization Drills.

Wardens and deputy wardens

Fire Safety / EAP Wardens Training

Fire Safety/EAP Wardens and Deputy Wardens are trained on their responsibilities as members of the building's fire safety/EAP program. An initial two-hour training session and a one-hour refresher session annually thereafter are required.

Critical operations staff

Critical Operations Staff Training

Radiant provides critical operations staff training as part of its fire safety and emergency action plan consulting services.

Emergency Action Plan Drills

Instructional and stairwell familiarization drills

Instructional Drills

These drills familiarize building occupants with the requirements and procedures of the Emergency Action Plan via informational presentations on the tenant floor. The four EAP responses: shelter in place, in-building relocation, partial evacuation and evacuation are discussed and explored in-depth.

Stairwell Familiarization Drills

These drills familiarize building occupants with the concepts of in-building relocation, partial evacuation or evacuation via emergency stairwells. Building occupants are required to enter the buildings' emergency stairwells and be escorted down a minimum of four (4) flights of stairs, or to the Ground Level if from the fifth floor or below, while stairwell safety features and safe evacuation procedures are reviewed and discussed.
